We make hushpuck because time away from our phones should be easier to choose.

Our phones do a lot of good. They keep us connected, help us find our way and put useful things within reach. But a quick check can so easily become a long scroll. We wanted a simple way to make that moment a little more deliberate.

That’s why we created hushpuck: a small, physical pause for the apps that pull us in. Choose what you want a break from, scan your puck, then leave it somewhere else. A tiny change to the routine, with room for something better.

Made in our workshop. For your everyday.

We’re a small family business based in Southsea, Portsmouth, on the UK’s south coast. Each puck is 3D printed and assembled in our own small workshop. We work on the design, make the parts and bring them together ourselves.

Making in small batches keeps us close to what we’re making. It means we can pay attention to the details, learn as we go and keep improving the next batch.

A little of the coast, wherever you are.

Our colour names are a nod to the place we call home. Pebble takes its cue from Southsea’s beach. Harbour connects us to Portsmouth’s waterfront. Chalk is the soft, light neutral that brings the coastal palette together.

A little character in every puck.

Look closely and you may notice fine print lines, a slight difference in texture or a small variation in the finish. That’s part of how your puck is made.

We see character in those little differences. They connect each puck to the workshop it came from and the people who made it. Your hushpuck doesn’t have to look identical to everyone else’s to have a place in your day.

Less screen time. More real life.

Our mission is simple: help people spend a little less time on distracting apps, and a little more time on the things they actually want to do. A conversation. A book. A bit of focus. An evening that feels like your own.

We want hushpuck to be a useful little object that earns its place in your home. A physical reminder that you can put your phone down and come back when you choose.
